🔜 An enduring power of attorney allows a person to choose in advance who will handle their affairs if, in the future, they find it difficult to do so themselves. 🤝 This is a legal arrangement that serves as an alternative to guardianships.
📋 You can appoint a power of attorney to make decisions on all or only some issues, such as property, medicine, personal matters, etc.
⚖️ In order to draw up an enduring power of attorney, contact a lawyer who is qualified to do so.
💞 There are associations that provide the service for a nominal fee, such as “Yad Riva” – legal assistance for the elderly on behalf of “Yad Sara”: 02-6444569, https://yadriva.org.il/
🩺 Medical power of attorney A competent adult may appoint an agent who will be authorized to make medical (not financial) decisions on their behalf in future situations in which they will not be able to give informed consent for medical treatment. The medical power of attorney is signed by a qualified professional (doctor, nurse, social worker, psychologist, attorney). For more information, contact the health insurance fund of which you are a member.
