Home > Free travel on public transportation for evacuees of Operation “Rising Lion”

The Ministry of Transport and Road Safety has announced a special benefit for evacuees of Operation “Rising Lion”:
Residents whose homes were damaged during the operation and were evacuated from them will receive a “national monthly pass” that allows unlimited travel on all public transportation throughout the country.

How do you receive the benefit?

Submitting a request for the benefit

  • Enter the Ministry of Transport website or the HopOn or Rav-Kav Online applications
  • Submit a request for evacuee benefits (upload a copy of your ID card/passport as well as your Rav-Kav card).
  • If you don’t have a card in your name or it was lost, you will need to order a new one
  • Receive confirmation of your eligibility by text or email (within one business day)

Loading the contract
After updating the profile, you must load the Rav-Kav card with a “National Monthly Free Pass including Train” contract.

  • Load the Rav-Kav card through the HopOn or Rav-Kav Online applications or at a loading station.
  • Please note, as of now it is possible to load the subscription only on a Rav-Kav card and not in the application.
  • The subscription is valid for 30 days. After that time, a new application must be submitted.

Did you try to update your eligibility and you don’t appear on the lists? Contact the local authority to check your eligibility and to update it.

Having trouble with the application? Teams are currently coming to the hotels where residents were evacuated and to absorption centers and they will help you.
The benefit is valid until August 31, 2025. After that, the need to continue the benefit will be examined.

Remember: Even for free travel, you must validate your card every time you board a bus or train!
