How to obtain the discount?
The discount is given automatically. The authorized body (Bituach Leumi, IDF, etc.) sends lists of eligible persons to the Electric Company.
In order to receive the discount, the electricity bill must be in the name of the eligible person. If the bill is not registered in your name, transfer it to your name.
If you do not receive the discount or have any other problems, call the Electric Company hotline: 103.
The discount is also given retroactively – with interest, from the date eligibility began.
Those who live in a nursing home / group living complex, etc., should ask the person in charge to arrange for the receipt of the discount.
Take note: You can switch to a private company that supplies electricity. The discount will continue there as well, in addition to the suppliers’ discount tracks.
