Now that the holiday season is over , this is the perfect time to visit your local Matnas and explore the new activities that are opening up.
Matnas (Hebrew acronym for – מרכז תרבות, נוער וספורט – Culture, Youth and Sports Center) is the community institution, under the local authority’s auspices, found in many neighborhoods across Israel. It offers diverse activities for all ages : sports classes, art, music, dance, lectures, workshops, and more.
Most Matnas centers have an integration coordinator whose role is to help new Olim integrate into the community by organizing special activities for them, such as Hebrew courses, social gatherings, trips, tutoring for children, and more.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and become part of Israeli community life!
