Bituach Leumi’s Counseling Service for Senior Citizens and Their Families

Are you over the age of 60, or have someone close to you who is?

Are you feeling lost in coping with the bureaucracy or wondering what rights you’re entitled to?
Bituach Leumi’s (National Insurance Institute) Counseling Service for Senior Citizens and Their Families is precisely what you need!

What does the service include?

  • Personal guidance and assistance in exercising rights at Bituach Leumi and community services
  • Help filling forms and submitting claims (old age pension, nursing care, income supplement, and more)
  • Counseling also for family members caring for an elderly person
  • Emotional support, a listening ear, and assistance coping with daily problems
  • Home visits, phone calls for caring conversations, and support groups for isolated citizens
  • Information days and lectures on relevant topics throughout the country

Who are the service providers?
The service is provided by social workers alongside volunteers who are themselves senior citizens, and who underwent professional training and know challenges of being an older adult from up close.

The service is available to every senior citizen and their family members, throughout the country, and personally adapted to your needs – so you won’t have to cope alone.
