International Shipment Options for Olim
International Moving Companies/Freight Forwarders/Customs Brokers
Available in Europe and UK – they offer door-to-door services: they pack, transport, and deliver your belongings directly to Israel. These companies handle all logistical aspects, including customs issues and release of the shipments upon arrival in Israel and delivery to your door. Some companies are all in one and others are not thus you might be making different payments to different service providers.
Sea Freight
This is the most economical option for sending a large quantity of belongings. Olim can hire a freight company to send their belongings in a cargo container. This process may take longer than air transportation but is generally more affordable. The Olim will need to handle delivery at the port, including payment for potential container storage, which has recently been problematic, thus we recommend that you use a Customs Broker or a Shipping Service that handles release from customs.
Air Freight
This is a faster option, but also more expensive: ideal for a few or smaller items. Olim can choose to send their belongings as air cargo or together with their Aliyah suitcases on their Aliyah flight.
