You need an official criminal background check or a Certificate of Good Conduct or a Federal Police Criminal Records Certificate issued by the Federal Authority of every country where you resided for more than one year after the age of 18. Each country has its own procedure regarding the issue of such a certificate. Below please find a list of links where to request a certificate in different countries.
